Finding Your Simple Heart - Contemplations Up A Dirt Road #4 From Fixer To Helper

Living Your Wisdom

Good Morning Wisdom Walkers:

Beautiful sunny day here today. Walking up the road was a joy. It always is, but today particularly because the rain and chill we have had for a couple of weeks now, departed and a hint of Spring showed up.

Today’s walk is about moving from fixer to helper. Kind of a confession of a fixer who took way too long to change.

As I was writing this I thought of a song. A great great Aussie singer, John Farnham, who over five decades went from pop star to national treasure, sings a cover of the Lennon/McCartney song Help….live. I commend it to you with absolute bias and love for him, and the unconscious need to be reminded I once had hair like that too. The point? We all need help. We are designed to need help. It is a gift to receive help, and to give it.

Thank you for listening,

Please feel free to comment and to add your thoughts and wisdom. Like help, I think the nature of wisdom is that it grows when we share it with each other. I am of the mind that we all have a deep, infinite in fact, wisdom within. I would love to learn more about yours.
