A Personal G’day
Hello Everyone:
I hope that you have had a good good week, or at least finding some times of peace ‘neath the challenges you are facing.
This week’s contemplation is a simple poem I wrote.
I find that when my plate feels more full than comfortable, I am called from within to pause, to remove the complexity, and to listen. Those times seem to bring forward words that struggle to express what I hear in the silence. For me it is a joy of poetry, where the beauty is not in the external word creation but somehow more in the gaps between the words evoked by the stumbling to say something not quite sayable.
Thank you for sharing these times with me. Next week some actual sentences will likely appear. 🙏🏼
I offer the following Sunday Contemplation for your consideration and I wish you the peace and resolve to meet this day.
Cheers,
This Week’s Quote
There is nothing so much like God in all the universe as silence.
Meister Eckhart, German born Christian mystic. 1620-1328
This Sunday’s Contemplation
An Open Door
I walked through
The simple open door
It was a silent invitation
No fanfare
No fuss
Yet I was drawn through
By the thread
Of possibilities
A silent nudging
The heart leaned in
Wondering
The rich grain of the door
Gave comfort
I sat in the beckoning chair
The whispered welcome
Came to me
The One
The Heart of
Galaxies and bubbling brooks
Whispered wordless in my ear
I built that door for you
Sit with Me
The room
The life
Twixt brook and galaxies
Is yours
Sit with Me
Sit with Me
Please just sit with Me
Thank you for reading this. See you next week I hope.
I wish you peace.
