“It may be that when we no longer know what to do,
we have come to our real work
and when we no longer know which way to go,
we have begun our real journey." Wendell Berry
Hello Wisdom Walkers:
It is sometimes dispiriting to read the daily news. There just seems to be so much wrong with the world. I try to keep my consumption of news limited in time, and curated in content. Why? Because being dispirited, by definition reduces our capacity to contribute the good the world so desperately needs.
So too our inward journey. If we just focus on the “bad news” within us, we can often get stuck in the room of what is wrong with me. From that room, everything looks too hard.
Today’s contemplation up the dirt road looks at the importance of stepping out of the room of bad news into the realm of what is right about us.
Thank you for taking time with me here.
I wish you the very very best,
Please feel free to leave a comment. I think the sum of our individual wisdom when shared with others is greater than the simple sum of the parts.
